Easy steps to upgrade Ubuntu from 8.10 to 9.04

  1. Check your Ubuntu version

    2. lsb_release -a


  2. Apply all updates for your Ubuntu 8.10

    3. sudo apt-get update

    sudo apt-get upgrade


  3. Upgrade from Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04

    4. sudo do-release-upgrade


  4. Check your Ubuntu version

    5. lsb_release -a


  5. Bingo.
